They built giant set pieces for the Princess Andromeda and Clarisse’s warship, adding realism to the show. The visual effects team from 'Black Sails' was brought in to handle the water, boats, and sails, bringing the seafaring story to life. This choice is noticeable in a positive way. Percy Jackson Season 2 Episode 4 showcases the full impact of practical effects. Clarisse’s warship is central to the episode, and the characters are clearly working with real set pieces. The practical effects with water are incredible, allowing the audience to be fully immersed as Percy and the gang enter the Sea of Monsters. It feels like we’re really there with the Percy Jackson demigods. The show's release date is December 19, 2023, on Disney+.
