Prepare to be amazed by this jaw-dropping transformation! A Honda Civic Type R, once a humble daily driver, has been transformed into a racing beast with a price tag that will make your eyes water. But is it worth the hefty investment?
This iconic car, with its rich motorsport heritage, has been given the ultimate upgrade by ARTA, a renowned Japanese tuning company. The ARTA GT, based on the already impressive FL5 generation Civic Type R, is a masterpiece in the making.
ARTA, short for Autobacs Racing Team Aguri, has a long-standing relationship with Honda, dating back to the late 90s. They've taken the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and given it a serious boost with upgrades like an HKS ECU, turbo internals, oil and intercooler kits, and a performance exhaust.
But here's where it gets controversial: despite the power increase, the ARTA GT sticks with a front-wheel-drive setup. A Cusco mechanical LSD helps put the power down, but is it enough to handle the extra grunt? And this is where the tuning enthusiasts might disagree.
The exterior modifications are equally impressive, with a Super GT-inspired body kit featuring a new bumper, wider guards, bonnet, and a massive rear wing. The interior is race-ready, too, with Recaro seats and a carbon fiber steering wheel.
With only 20 kits planned, exclusivity is guaranteed. But at a price exceeding $200,000, is this the ultimate Civic Type R experience, or a step too far? What do you think? Is this a dream come true for Honda enthusiasts, or a case of too much of a good thing?
